It’s OCTOBER! That means Halloween time! And costume time! And that means all the baddies come out to play at Disneyland… so that makes it appropriate for me to post this again….
Comic-Con 2012: Disney Villains (by daemonsmedia)
Disney Villains Interviewed
Ok, I promise I’ll stop with all the Disney Villains cosplay spam after this video…. but this just cracks me up ‘cause it’s so silly and random… reminds me a little bit of some of those House of Mouse episodes.
My favorite lines:
Asked about his nemesis, Dr. Facilier responds, “Frog…dipped in butter sauce…”
Regarding other stuff, Maleficent happily responds, “Eat a lot of pizza.” and The Horned King adds, “I macrame in my spare time.”
And Scar’s evil meow and The Hunter’s evil chuckle… I die. So silly.
Last year at San Diego Comic Con, Hipsterdufasa and I dressed up as Maleficent and The Queen. We had such a blast, that we talked a few more of our friends into dressing up with us this year, most of whom have never worn a costume to a convention before.
We’ve put together a group of about 9 Disney Villains and we’ll be wearing our costumes on Thursday - you know, to kick off the week in the spirit of SDCC. I. AM. SO. EXCITED!
I’ve been working on bits and pieces of a handful of their costumes so this is what my dining table looks like right now. I’m sure you can figure out who most of the Villains in the group are just from these tell-tale costume bits, but there are a few obscure villains in our group too (Horned King anyone?!)
Not that anyone reads this, but if you happen to be at SDCC on Thursday, keep an eye out for us and say hi (I’ll be The Queen again)… I will probably freak out with excitement.
Snow White is my favorite Disney Princess… so it was about time I had a Snow White themed manicure.
The colors were inspired by the outfit she wears - a lot of red, yellow, blue and, of course, 3D bows! Plus a set of delicious red apples and a completely hand painted sassy version of Snow White herself on the thumbs (one giving a wink, as inspired by the Snow White art of Jenny Chung for Disney.)
